Elisa Capecci

Elisa Capecci is an international student from Italy. She studied chemistry from the University of Milan and the University of Granada where she graduated obtaining the MSc equivalent in Biochemistry. Elisa is now a PhD student at KEDRI  supervised by Professor Nikola Kasabov.
Her research topic is:“Computational Modelling of Genetics Data in Neuroinformatics”. Brain development and function depend on the precise regulation of gene expression, which also affects the spiking activity of the neuronal cell. Elisa's research will investigate and understand the effect of different neurotransmitters and ion channels included in a gene regulatory network (GRN), on the learning and connectivity of the NeuCube model under different conditions.
